Yes, it’s true! You only get one chance to make a good first impression. Just ONE. â € â € When it comes to your website + branding the same rule applies. In fact you probably get less time. â € When I visit a site I can usually tell within seconds if it’s worth my time. â € When new visitors come to your site they should know TWO things instantly- WHO you are and WHAT you do. â € â € Lots of small business websites lose customers because of the basic elements on their homepage. And we won’t even get into how this also affects their bounce rate. (another whole topic for a different day). â € â € Here are 5 elements that every homepage should have. (the short version)â € â € ABOUT US- Tell people who you are. Tell them your story. â € CONTACT- How can they contact you? It’s best to utilize a contact form here.â € â € IMAGES- If you make cakes, customers want to see your cakes not graphics with shoes. Show what it is that you do!â € â € EMAIL SIGN-UP- This is KEY. The options are endless. Once a visitor opts in…they are giving you permission to contact them. ✨PERMISSION GRANTED✨This is your communication lifeline. Create a newsletter, offer rewards, discounts. Don’t harass them tho! But stay in their inbox!â € â € SOCIAL MEDIA LINKS- Connect with your customers on all of your platforms, provide them with links to each platform.
